The Avid Pro Tools | MTRX MADI Module for Base Unit expands the baseline digital footprint of the modular interface without exhausting primary real estate. Engineered to mount internally as a daughter board beneath the motherboard, this card surfaces directly via the chassis' Optical I/O slot. It provides high-end music tracking, broadcast, and post-production facilities with massive multi-channel digital distribution to external mixing consoles, routers, or MADI-equipped digital systems.
Chassis Slot Optimization: Add an additional 64-channel I/O coaxial or optical MADI modules to the MTRX II chassis (also backward compatible with the original MTRX base unit).
Zero Expansion Slot Footprint: Mounts directly into a dedicated slot internal to the mainframe, keeping all eight main expansion card slots completely free for secondary analog, Dante, or AES3 cards.
Interchangeable SFP Transceivers: Features dual latching SFP cages allowing systems to scale up to 128 channels of bidirectional I/O by choosing between optical (LC) or coaxial (mini-BNC) transceivers to match facility cabling infrastructure. (Note: SFP transceivers are sold separately).
Native DADman Software Routing: Seamlessly interfaces with Avid DADman control software, enabling matrix patching and complete audio routing alongside all other integrated network protocols.
